Bison one of America's Top 15 Eco-Friendly Brews

Bison Organic Beer was recently highlighted as one of the top sustainable U.S. breweries in USA Today’s Green House article. Based on a Four-Leaf system, Greenopia, an online guide to green products, awarded Bison Organic Beer with “3-Leaves” being topped only by the larger New Belgium brewery, who scored 4-leafs.  

Del Grande: "There are many brewers doing sustainable things. As organic brewers, we do what we do because of our integrity. It is what you do while nobody is looking that counts, and we are pleased to be acknowledged by USA Today and Greentopia for our sustainable efforts we have undertaken for the past several years."  

The top three of Bison's many efforts of sustainability are: 

• We benchmarked our carbon footprint to understand the impacts, and work to minimize the carbon footprint of each bottle of beer.  We offset the impacts we can't avoid.
• We brew using 100% organic malt, and nearly 100% organic hops in order to support sustainable agriculture and minimize soil erosion and petrochemical use.
• 100% of our 6-pack and 4-pack carriers are made of 100% recycled paperboard
