Bison Organic Seasonal Beers
Bison has a rich history of producing unique and exciting seasonal beers brewed with flavor combinations rarely found in other commercial beers. All of our seasonal selections rotate on the same SKU, avoiding confusion for retailers and the burden of authorizing each brand on its own.
We are excited to announce that our most popular seasonal, Honey Basil, became a year-round offering in 2012 and will be replaced by Saison de Wench (description to follow) in 2013.
Organic Gingerbread Ale
Description: Bison’s ever popular Gingerbread Ale is a delicately spiced holiday porter brewed with ginger, nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon. This medium-bodied ale boasts an intoxicating aroma of fresh baked gingerbread cookies straight from the oven. Well-balanced flavors of molasses, chewy dark malts and holiday spice dominate the palate, leaving behind a smooth, dry spicy finish.
Bison’s Gingerbread Ale is an excellent match for all your favorite holiday favorites from roasted sweet potatoes to candied yams, game, duck, butternut squash soup, curries, Thanksgiving turkey, bread pudding, pumpkin pie and cheesecake. (6% abv.)
Saison de Wench
Description: Whimsical notes of rose petals, hibiscus and peppery spice dominate the aroma. Balanced by a soft malt sweetness and moderate hop bitterness, Saison de Wench is refreshingly tart with a dry, spicy finish. Although delicious on its own, Saison de Wench pairs beautifully with delicate seafood dishes, ceviche, sushi, shellfish, fresh cheese, charcuterie, summer salads and chilled soups. (6% abv.)
Why the name "wench"?? Saison de Wench is named for Bison's Director of Awesomeness, Ashley Routson, known best amongst the craft beer world as The Beer Wench. You can find her beer musings at DrinkWithTheWench.com as well as on CraftBeer.com.
And many more to come!!!
Stay tuned! 2013 is going to be a BIG year for Bison, as we are looking to introduce a new line of seasonal beers in 22oz. bombers as well as some new and fun 4-packs.
